A READER'S QUILT

Hello everyone!  The picture of the beautiful quilt above was sent to me by Marjorie. You may remember she is the reader who asked the recent question about sewing room organization.    Here is what she says:  "The photo is the quilt I just finished.  The photo doesn't show the colors as bright as they really are.

I bought a couple of new storage boxes and have been working on organizing.  I think one of the ways to help me remember where things are is to always return them to the same place I got them.

We had an exciting week, we had a fire start across the freeway from our house.  Lots of fire people, helicopters and air tankers dropping retardant .  They got the big blaze out the same day, just little hot spots left.  It was nothing  like the Brian Head fire that is about 30,000 acres burned  and still growing.  It has been brutal heat and was 114 degrees in St George,  but only 109 degrees here on the back porch!  Hope the heat wave breaks soon.

Stay cool in Michigan.
Happy sewing
Marjorie"

Yikes!  109 degrees!  I can't imagine that and just hearing it makes me thankful I live in Michigan.

A special thank you to Marjorie for sharing with us.  It is always nice to see and hear from fellow quilters.
