PILLOWCASES FOR VETERANS

The Scrappers Schoolhouse met this past Saturday at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  Rosa sent me this pictures of some of the lovely pillowcases that are going to Veterans.  This is what she wrote me:

We were a VERY busy group of eight today.  With the four pillow cases you gave me that you had done, our one day total for this month came to 34!!!

Leanne cut kits from fabric that she donated. Vickie S. stopped by to donate more fabric on her way north which Chris generously cut into kits for us!

Marrilee from Gentiva Hospice took approximately 40 pillowcases on Saturday. We have another 40 for her now. When Marrilee came to pick up cases she treated the group to some sandwiches for lunch.  They went wonderfully with all of our other snacks and goodies. A special thank you to Marrilee.

These cases will be delivered to veterans for Veterans Day.

Note:  The Scrappers Schoolhouse will not meet next month (November).  In the following months, anyone is welcome to join us in sewing for charity, just bring fabric and sewing supplies.  I also have a few kits made from donated fabric ready to go   We always welcome donations.

READER ATTENTION:  A reader wrote and said she could not print the Halloween Tutorial and asked for help.  However, that reader was anonymous so I couldn’t send her the pattern.  I really don’t know why you could not print it because the links are working.  If you will send me your address I will send you the instructions and pattern.
