GREAT LAKES MODERN QUILT GUILD MEETS

Last month the Great Lakes Modern Quilt Guild met in Kalamazoo.  Above, Leader Stephanie gave a demo of the quick curve ruler designed by Jenny Pedigo. Jenny's blog is Sew Kind Of Wonderful.  You can visit Jenny’s blog to see a video tutorial if you want to see what you missed.  Jenny has a number of great patterns that use the ruler.
Above Stephanie holds the quilt that she made using this ruler.
And here is a closer view so you can see the awesome quilting.  Jenny is also a long arm quilter and quilted the quilt that Stephanie made using the quick curve ruler.
This is the back of the quilt.  Awesome quilting.
Check out all these Paper Pieced Kaleidoscope blocks.  Members contributed these blocks.  A name was drawn and one lucky person went home with all of them.  What fun.
Cathy M. showed us her latest quilt.   What a great improve/modern quilt.  Can’t wait to see it quilted.

ON ANOTHER NOTE: The Sewing Chick has a tutorial for a checkered Charger.

Until next time,

Stay Calm! Stay Kind! Stay Positive!

Stephanie's quilt and the quilting is amazing, stunning, absolutely gorgeous! Love it! Also love the Sew Kind of Wonderful blog! Would love to try her ruler and her techniques. Just not enough time. Looks like you have a great modern quilt guild going. Thank you for sharing and for the great link.

Have a super great sewing and stitching day!
