NEW CLASS SAMPLES AT THE ATTIC WINDOW

Betty Carpenter is the new teacher at the Attic Window Quilt Shop. This picture is of her "Grandmother's Strawberry Quilt" which measures 18 X 20 inches. It was accepted into the 2009 Paducah quilt show.

“J's Little Aviary” is also one of Betty’s quilts and was accepted into the Paducah show in 2007. It measures 15 1/2 inches square. Both quilts won a blue ribbon from the West Michigan Quilter’s Guild (WMQG). "Grandmother" received an honorable mention @ the 2009 AQS show in Paducah.
.
Betty will be teaching appliqué techniques for smaller projects, but on a little bigger scale than these two miniatures. She said, “Not everybody is as "out of control" as I am!”

P.S. I Quilt has a nice friendship bag tutorial. Check it out.
Until next time, happy quilting,
Caroll

Generosity has no bounds. Above are the women in the Quilts For Kids group at the Attic Window Quilt Shop. Left to right, Henrietta, Phyllis, Nancy, Carol, Karen. These women donate their time, fabric, money once a month to make quilts for kids who have cancer.
